Clifford Donald Simak (August 3, 1904 - April 25, 1988) was a leading American science fiction writer. He won three Hugo awards and one Nebula award, as well as being named the third Grand Master by the SFWA in 1977.

He was a prolific and popular writer. His first published story was "The World of the Red Sun" for Wonder Stories in 1931. He then became an important writer for John W Campbell's Astounding Science Fiction magazine.

We have always been fans of Clifford Simak his writing style suits as enormously.
